I am a Digital Media Design graduate specialising in technologies which bring people together in physical spaces to create connection, experience or wonder.
I draw from professional experience in the public art sector and my passion for human connection to create a variety of works which are all tied together through themes of place, or community.
I run a course in Plymouth called ‘Digital Art for Non Digital Artists’ to engage local creatives in creative technologies which could transform their work by making it interactive, immersive, ephemeral or more meaningful.
I work for Real Ideas in their centre for immersive technology: ‘The Markethall’. Part if my role is being a Member Technician for the 360° immersion dome, and another part of my role is teaching Lego Robotics to under 12’s. It’s varied but it’s all about getting people involved with creative technologies and thats what really inspires me.
I also founded a collective of young creatives from Plymouth called NOVU. We have over 100 members and meet regularly to connect and make stuff. The young creative scene here is really thriving and I love connecting people in this way…. Its one of the most wonderful things to see all of the connections that have been made through NOVU.
