Hi everyone! I’m Laura Burnett, and I’m delighted to be part of this amazing Women in Tech forum. As the Delivery Director at Made Tech Ltd, I have the privilege of overseeing a variety of exciting digital projects for the UK government. My work spans across collaborating with key departments such as GDS, DCMS, DLUHC, DSIT, the Cabinet Office, and, naturally, Made Tech itself.
In my role, I focus on ensuring our projects are delivered with precision and excellence, utilising agile and lean delivery methodologies. I’m a firm believer in the principles of the GDS service manual and strive to embed these best practices into everything we do. This approach helps us navigate the complex challenges of government projects while delivering high-quality digital services that truly make a difference.
With over a decade of experience in the tech industry, I’ve cultivated a passion for fostering innovation and leading teams with a blend of strategic thinking and creativity. My journey has been filled with learning, growth, and the occasional pivot, but it’s always been rooted in a desire to drive positive change and efficiency through technology.
Beyond the office, I’m an avid explorer of new tech trends and a dedicated mentor to aspiring women in tech. I believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting one another to achieve our goals. When I’m not immersed in the latest tech developments, you’ll likely find me enjoying a good book, sipping on a cup of tea, or spending quality time with my family.
I’m thrilled to connect with other inspiring women in this forum who are passionate about shaping the future of technology. Let’s share our experiences, learn from each other, and continue breaking barriers together. Here’s to innovation, collaboration, and making a lasting impact in the tech world!
