My tech skills have enabled me to lead marketing strategies, manage events and produce innovative projects mostly within the music sector. Working largely as a Marketer, I have supported many large music festivals, independent bands, talent shows such as The X-Factor, music studios, music industry manufacturers and music education providers, amongst others.
I have also worked as a recording engineer and recording artist, using music technology to feature on the tracks of others and to release material under my own project, Laura & The Jazz Capsule. Being proficient in skills such as website building, recording and content creation has successfully enabled me to promote myself as a performer, resulting in supporting bands such as Madness, Elbow, Jake Bugg, Fatboy Slim and Sugarhill Gang, enhancing corporate events for the likes of ITV, BBC and Carlsberg, playing many of the largest UK festivals, being shortlisted for the prestigious UK Peter Whittingham Jazz Award and averaging 50 gigs per year for over 10 years.
Alongside being Self-Employed I work as a Music, Marketing & Business Lecturer at Falmouth University and a Creative Industry Business Advisor at Creative Kernow.
Get in touch if you would like support with marketing, particularly if you work in the music or arts sector. However I do have experience in working with a variety of clients!
