Hi, I’m Anna, a Gender and Digital Societies Researcher and Innovation Advisor.
My research broadly investigates the construction and commercialisation of humanoid AI robots and animation, what these tell us about current commercially driven conceptions of femininity, womanhood, and whiteness, and how this is affecting transnational socio-political spaces, policy and regulation, and ideas of citizenship.
I also look to understand issues of accountability in the development of emerging technologies.
I sit on the Leadership Team for The University of Bristol’s Digital Societies Research Group.
In my advisory role, I support companies and academic partners in developing and commercialising new and innovative products, services, and technologies from pre- to post-project planning stages of their R&D ventures. I help individuals from multiple sectors to accelerate their project timescales and partner growth in order to effectively scale.
I deliver innovation and grant funding training to leading UK Universities, SMEs, and LCs and support researchers to translate their research outputs and goals into commercially viable projects.
