About Women in Tech South West
Agile on the Beach, Software Cornwall, TECgirls and TECwomen have collaborated to create a new platform that will continue to improve gender equality and representation amongst volunteers, board members and speakers at tech events in the south-west.
By creating a simple profile on this site, users can join an ever expanding community of female entrepreneurs, developers, engineers and creators that can then act as a searchable database for event organisers, company directors, community organisations and educational institutions looking for volunteers, mentors and speakers on specific topics.

About Agile on the Beach
Agile on the Beach, now in its 12th year, welcomes around 50 speakers and over 450 participants to Falmouth in July each year to explore the latest techniques in Agile methodologies. This year, the committee received 270 paper submissions from prospective speakers and after an extensive review process, 46 speakers were chosen and a 50% split achieved between self-identified male/female selected speakers. This split is not uncommon for Agile on the Beach, where the organising committee are deliberate about diversity with it being a key part of the ethos of the conference.
